Howarth Engineering are pleased to announce that we have now officially opened our New Inspection, Assembly and Storage facility in Rackheath.
As announced previously we were successful in obtaining grant funding earlier this year, from the local LEP and New Anglia Growth Hub which has allowed us to successfully expand our business. This funding enabled us to purchase an additional property in Rackheath, to complement and assist our busy machining facility. The sale was completed in December and we have been busy renovating the unit to make it suitable for our day to day needs. As of July 2016 all preliminary works have now been completed and we have fully moved in and begun to use the unit for Inspection, Finishing, Assembly and Storage.
Importantly this has allowed us to move the above processes to a clean, controlled environment away from the manufacturing site, allowing us greater control and accuracy over the components manufactured. In turn this has freed up space in the CNC machining unit to make changes to the layout to improve efficiency and for future investment in new machinery to develop the business further, expanding our capabilities.
In addition to the above improvements we are excited to announce we have now been able to create the first in a range of new job roles over the coming year, including two new apprenticeships, to ensure the continued growth and future of Howarth Engineering, Precision engineering in Norfolk for years to come.
